When OM Botanical founder Sudhir Shah couldn’t find an effective and non-toxic skincare solution for his son’s eczema, he created one.
Raised in India with the principles of Ayurveda and holding a Master’s in molecular biology, and an MBA from Yale, Sudhir brought together plant-based wisdom and modern science to design products that nourish skin without compromise.

Going beyond natural and organic
Since 2012, OM Botanical has harnessed the healing power of plants to promote long-term skin health and wellness. Every product is thoughtfully formulated to work with your skin, not just on it, using principles rooted in Ayurveda, supported by science, and built around your body’s biology.
100% natural
This probably goes without saying, but our products are 100% natural. No parabens, sulfates, phthalates, or other harsh alcohols that strip your skin’s natural oils.
Full-spectrum
We use full-spectrum botanical extracts instead of isolated actives. This prioritizes product safety while preserving the full bioavailability of the therapeutic properties of our ingredients.
Aloe, not water
Aloe vera is renowned for its soothing properties and its ability to deeply penetrate the skin. It contains lignin, which enhances the absorption of other botanical ingredients. That’s why our base is aloe.
Safe enough to eat
Skin is our largest organ and a lot of what we put on it gets absorbed into our bodies. So we’ve designed our products to be safe enough to eat. (Though we don’t recommend actually eating them…they are not tasty).
Vegan and cruelty-free
Like our vegan founder, we believe that using animals as property is wrong. None of our products contain animal-derived ingredients and we do not test on animals (unless you count our friends and family).

When Sudhir began formulating skincare for his son, there was no room for compromise. Every ingredient had to be safe, non-toxic, and truly supportive of skin health. We never use:
- Sulfates, parabens, or phthalates
- Fragrances or alcohols
- Petroleum-based ingredients or synthetic preservatives
